*Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Station*
Installed capacity of Suratgarh STPS is 1500 MW. It has 6 units of 250 MW each. Achieved 93.20 % PLF during 2006-07· PLF from 1.4.07 to 30.11.07 is 89.34%. Planned maintenance period reduced to 5% Approx. Expected Power generation during 2007-08 around 92%· Man Power is only 0.67 per MW· Ash Utilisation 80% (Dry fly ash 100%) Received Gold shield on 24.08.04 from Hon'ble President for consistently outstanding performance during 2000-2004. Received Bronze shield from Hon' Prime Minisr for outstanding performance 05-06.

Suratgarh STPS, the first super Thermal Power Station FUTURE EXPENSION It has been decided to set up 2 X 660 MW super critical units (Unit # 7 & 8) at SSTPS. For this purpose about 446 Hectare land has been identified adjacent to the existing 6 X 250 MW plant. This land is under process of acquisition. M/s TEC have been appointed consulting engineers for this project. The state Govt. has also accorded its inpriciple approval for setting up in future, two additional units of 2 X 660 MW (Unit # 9 & 10) also based on super critical technology.
